Each year at my church I run the Back 2 School Drive. I always like to make the kids a special something for them to take with them to school that is motivational and gives them love when they are starting a new year with new faces. This year I am gun ho running full throttle with a few things I am going to make them.
I became a small germaphobe when I had Madelyn and didnt want anything that had germs on it to touch her. I have since been like that and look at everything as a germ infested object. Kids are the biggest offenders when it comes to NOT washing their hands! They dont care if they were just outside playing with the dog, than did a handstand race which made them have to use the restroom all before they eat, AND NOT WASH THEIR HANDS. Ok, maybe I am over exaggerating, but they dont think to wash their hands.
I decided to make them a personalized hand sanitizer they could clip to their backpack. I still had keyrings from the name tags I made last year. I went to the dollar store and got 2 for a $1, printed some labels, added ribbon and bada bing bada boom they were done!
I realized when I was going through all my ribbon, I dont have ANY boy ribbon. This brown will have to do for them lol.
I searched for brief great kids quotes and I found one by a pretty kid friendly person, Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, You can do it!” Hopefully this will be motivational to the kids!
Stay tuned for a few more back 2 school items I am making for my kiddos!
