During our week of fasting at our church we did several ministries. One of them was we all donated items to make Blessing Bags. The requested items were: toothbrush, deodorant, baby wipes, socks, water, granola bar, scarf etc. At the end of the fast once all the items were assembled in a gallon zip lock baggy, each member walked out of church with one bag. It's that time of year again, Valentine's Day! I have loved this holiday even when I was single! Not only is it fun for couples but it's a fun holiday to share with kids!!! Sunday I am handing out fully stocked backpacks to all the kids at our church. I had to do one final inventory so I knew what still needed to be bought. My entire table was filled from end to end with supplies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Each year my small church pulls together to send our kids back STOCKED with supplies to start their year off right! Well good morning and Happy Tuesday!!!! Last week was our VBS and boy was it a long one! By day 4 I was the last soldier standing....all my volunteers, with the acception of a few, bailed on me! I was so happy I had off Friday and could relax kid free from a long week! Last night we learned about Jesus calming the sea. I had all the kids sit down like they were in a boat and sway from side to side on certain parts of the story. My dad was the nominated one to read, I am not good at public speaking.....even in front of kids :) They made a little sea in the bag that they could squish and feel the sea moving.
