Last night the kids learned about Jonah and the whale. Let me tell you this story led into so many other stories because they were getting Jonah confused with Adam and other men from the bible. It was another successful night! The kids made a whale out of brown paper bags and we made Jonah out of pipe cleaner. We stuffed the whale with newspaper and Jonah went inside as well. Here are some pictures of our awesome night!

Yesterday was our first day of Vacation Bible School. Our theme this year is
Under The Sea. This was a big challenge for me because I wanted to be sure it is a success all around. I wanted to kids to get something out of each lesson and be able to tell their parents what their craft was and the story behind it.

I threw a Harvest Festival at my church this past Saturday and it was a great success. It was definitely a challenge but I over came the road bumps the devil tried to put in my path to make me want to give up. I made the advertising out of simple poster board with fall like decortation and colors. Nevaeh was in charge of gluing all of the leaves on the boards. The youth leader and I threw a Back to School camp at our church last week. One of the perks was the following Sunday we were going to give out fully equipped backpacks full of supplies. I wanted to add something fun and useful they could use at school. I got to thinking of what I could have used when I was a kid or would have come in handy while walking home from school. **DING** I thought a handy dandy First Aid Kit would be a great item to add to.
Many thoughts came across my mind when t

I don’t think that I have ever mentioned I am the Children’s Sunday school teacher at my church. My kids in the class and our surrounding community are going to back to school soon and I wanted to make sure they were set with a fully loaded back pack full of school supplies . I wanted the kids to work for their donations so we threw a bake sale consisting of cupcakes and cake balls. Nevaeh's mom Carrie, graciously donated cookies to help out with our bakesale . The cupcakes were b
