It’s that time of year again, Valentine’s Day! I have loved this holiday even when I was single! Not only is it fun for couples but it’s a fun holiday to share with kids!!!

We have been doing several Valentine’s Day crafts and over all celebrating! We had 2 craft parties making Valentine’s cards for our nursing home trip. The first party was here at my casa with my family. I even got Jacob to participate His Valentine’s were actually very funny! Madelyn and I also met up with my sister from another mother, Priscialla and her little one. Madelyn and Alex are a month apart so it works out perfect with our play dates. Although Priscilla and I ended up making most of the cards while they tore up Alex’s bedroom! Here is a picture of Madelyn and Alex toasting a cheers!!

 

All of our Valentine’s card making paid off this past weekend when we took the kids to minister at the nursing home. I brought my 3 nephews along with us also We made over 80 Valentine cards to hand out to every resident. We went room to room gathering residents that wanted to play bingo. The residents that didnt want to play the kids gave them a card with a big hug and a Happy Valentines Day. I know the lord was working through them as they ministered and helped the elderly play bingo. They had to realize they didnt have the best vision, strength or in some cases they weren’t all there. It was priceless to hear them speak to the elderly and help them the way Jesus helps us every day. Here are some pictures of this amazing nursing home visit.

This is a ministry we will be doing every month! The elderly love all the energy produced by these kids and the kids love the feeling of being needed!
