We had a small baby shower at work for one of our employees that is having a baby girl. Her favorite color is light purple so that is the theme they chose to go with. I offered to help with the table toppers and make a diaper cake. I was a bit nervous because I can say I can make anything all day long but to actually do it and have it turn out successful is another story. I actually had a lot of fun doing this project because Nevaeh was my little helper. If I didn’t have her helping me I would have been fastening the diapers all night! I have to give Madelyn a little bit of credit because she attempted to do one diaper only that one didn’t make the cake
I was able to make the diaper cake and table toppers for under $30! Now that is a steal!
I like to create things to fit the personality and style of the individual. I wanted this cake to be simple yet graceful with a dash of spunk and I believe I achieved my goal.
This was her present table. This little bundle of joy is going to be set with all her gifts!
I loved the idea of having baby bottles serve as vases for fresh flowers. I just love the feeling fresh flowers adds to a room, I thought adding them to this “work” shower would give off a pleasant aura. Since there weren’t too many decorations I wanted to make sure the cake and table toppers coordinated. I carried the same “T” theme on the bottles as an accent piece. I thought they were very simple yet made a statement.
and now a close up of the “t”

The cake turned out very sophisticated. How surprised was she? I can just see you hiding that cake behind you and trying to walk right by her…
I thought your ideas were CUTE!
I def. think the letter on the bottle changed the bottle vase to something more!
Good job!
