Magaly is a busy mother and portrait photographer that works out of her home. Her office is not only where she spends most of her day editing but its also where she holds photoshoots for her clients. She hired me to transform her current office into an inviting and comfortable space for her and her clients.
She already had great flooring and a neutral colored walls for us to work with. I had to divide this space up from her work area and public client area. I didn’t want either area to feel crammed or congested. She wanted a black and white pallet with red accents. She needed storage for all her equipment, props, supplies and general office up keeping. We were able to furnish and accessorize this room for around $300.
We put a multiple cubby shelf to serve as a divider when the clients come in they can’t see her full working space. We filled it with storage boxes to hold all her supplies and accessories. Another problem were her props needed a home. The solution was to get a tall shelf to house most of them. To enclose her work space when clients were over she is going to close it off with her backdrop rack that is covered in a beautiful damask pattern.
She now has a full wall to use for her photoshoots with a backdrop holder that is the height of the wall . When this backdrop is up we wanted to make sure the wall was still visibly pleasing so we put a few pictures of her work up. All the babies were so cute
Here is the very first original of her office. She did go through A LOT of the things that sort of just got pushed in this room. We all have that catch all area in our home and well for her it was her office that had lots of empty space.
These next two pictures are after she got most of the items that didn’t belong in there out. Now all we had to do was organize and get the general layout of the room in place.

So now lets look at the final outcome of her office/studio……
She will close off her work area when clients are over…..
Here are just a few fun shots….
Thank you Magaly for allowing me to help you transform your office into an aesthetic functioning setting. Best wishes to your business!
